With older lasers, sun tanning is not advised for 4 weeks before the first session. New lasers will work on a slight or older suntan, but it’s still best to avoid sun tanning for 4 weeks before treatment.
At present there are no side effects except some red blotches. An incorrect laser use can cause some burning.
